The Automa simulates an opponent for you to compete against, while your game as a player remains the same. Itching for adventure, heroes privately fund expeditions to Siberia, hoping to find artifacts, overcome challenges, and ultimately achieve glory.
Expeditions is a competitive, card-driven, engine-building game of exploration. Play cards to gain power, guile, and unique worker abilities; move your mech to mysterious locations and gain cards found among the tiles; use workers, items, meteorites, and quests to enhance your mech; and use power and guile to vanquish corruption.
Expeditions is a competitive, card-driven, engine-building game of exploration.
Move your mech 1, 2, or 3 spaces to an empty space. If you move to an unexplored tile, flip that tile and gain the benefits of exploring for the first time.
Gather allows you to receive the benefits of the tile where your mech currently stands.
Play cards from your hand to your active row. You immediately gain the card benefit and may activate the benefit on the bottom of the card as well, if you choose to do so.
You can refresh at any time to move all cards and workers from your active row back to your hand and mech mat.
When a player places their 4th star, this triggers the end game. Everyone gets one more turn, and then scoring begins. You gain points for coins, stars placed, upgraded items, and any corruption tokens.
